WB NEET UG 2026 Stray Round Registration Only on October 16

If you are still waiting for an MBBS or BDS seat in West Bengal, this one is for you. The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) has released the revised WB NEET UG Counselling 2026 schedule for Round 3 and the stray vacancy round.

The new schedule came out on 12 October 2026. One change matters more than the others: stray round registration is now open for just one day, 16 October, from 11 AM to 8 PM.

That gives you nine hours to register for the last round of state counselling. If you miss it, there is no next round to wait for.

So take five minutes, read this through, and mark the dates on your phone right now.

WB NEET UG 2026 Important Dates

• 13 to 15 October: Round 3 reporting and admission
• 16 October: Stray round registration (11 AM to 8 PM)
• 17 October: Document verification, then the seat matrix after 5 PM
• 17 to 18 October: Choice filling (closes at 10 AM on 18 October)
• 23 October: Stray round result, by 12 noon

Got a Seat in Round 3? Here’s What to Do

Congratulations. You are almost there.

You now have one extra day to report. Reporting is on 13, 14 and 15 October 2026, from 10 AM to 4 PM.

Take these with you:

• All your original documents
• The college fee
• The bond

Your documents will be checked in person. Once they are verified, your admission is confirmed.

Not sure where to go?

• Private medical college seat: You will report at one of the government medical colleges in Kolkata. WBMCC has put up a separate notice that tells you which one.
• Private dental college seat: You will report at Dr. R. Ahmed Dental College, Kolkata.

Upgraded to a better seat? First collect your fee and documents from your old college, along with the relieving lettergenerated by the system. Without it, the new college can’t admit you.

Why the Round 3 Result Was Revised

Some students saw their Round 3 result change, and many are wondering why.

On 10 October, MCC (New Delhi) issued a notice. Following it, WBMCC removed candidates who had already taken admission under the All India Quota (AIQ) from the state allotment. As a result, one seat at Midnapore Medical College became free and was added back to the seat matrix.

No fresh choice filling was needed, because that seat was already counted as a possible vacancy.

What you should do: Log in to your WBMCC account and download your revised allotment letter, even if you think nothing has changed for you. WBMCC has said it will not contact anyone personally.

WBMCC Stray Vacancy Round 2026 Schedule

This round fills the seats that are still empty after Round 3. Anyone who qualified NEET UG 2026 can register.

All times follow the server clock. WBMCC calls this schedule tentative, so check wbmcc.nic.in every day until it ends.

NRI candidates don’t need to go for verification. Follow Point No. 3 of the WBMCC notice instead.

How to Register, Step by Step

1. Visit wbmcc.nic.in and open the UG Medical & Dental section.
2. Register between 11 AM and 8 PM on 16 October.
3. Pay the fee online. The payment window stays open till midnight, but registration closes at 8 PM, so register first.
4. Go for verification on 17 October at the college and time slot you are given.
5. After 5 PM on 17 October, check that your name is on the verified list.
6. Fill and lock your choices before 10 AM on 18 October.

A Few Honest Tips

Don’t leave it for the evening. On last-day windows the website often slows down. Try to finish by afternoon.

Read the seat matrix carefully. It comes out on the evening of 17 October. Take an hour with your family and go through it. Only pick colleges you would actually join.

Keep your documents in one folder today. That means your NEET UG 2026 scorecard and admit card, Class 10 and 12 certificates, domicile proof and category certificate (if you have one). Running around for papers on verification day is stress you don’t need.

Talk to your parents about fees before you choose. Private college fees can be very different from government college fees. Agree on a budget before you lock your choices, not after.
