The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has officially announced. The purpose of the program is to strengthen the professional skills of teachers, school administrators, and educational personnel in the field of guidance and counselling.

Phase I: Distance Learning (January – June 2026)

First six months of the course, you all have to learn from the provided study materials. through which you can have the theoretical understandings of counselling, human development, and educational guidance from your own location.

2. Phase II: Face-to-Face Contact Programme (July – September 2026)

In the second phase, you will get three months in order to have a face-to-face contact session at designated study centres. Eligibility Criteria: NCERT Diploma Courses 2026

All over India, NCERT only invites teachers, teacher educators, school administrators, and untrained guidance personnel. Not only this, but also those who enrolled on the postgraduate programs in Psychology, Education, Social Work, Child Development, or Special Education can also have access to learn from this course.

However, preference will be given to those who have at least one year of relevant teaching or guidance-related experience. Those who are students enrolling on the course then they must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in their qualifying degree, and 5% relaxation in marks is available for SC/ST candidates.

The fee structure for the DCGC program varies based on the candidate’s employment type:

  • State or Union Territory Government deputed candidates: ₹6,000
